Job summary

Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District is seeking a radiologic technologist to support physicians during imaging procedures, maintaining sterility and patient safety. You will review required documents before exams and ensure accurate historical data in RISynergy.

You will also optimize imaging factors to produce high-quality results while minimizing radiation exposure, educate patients, and uphold department policies. Expect professional collaboration and a focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform radiographic exams with high quality.
• Knowledge of documentation practices in hospital settings.
• Ability to educate patients about procedures and safety.
• Strict adherence to sterile technique and safety policies.
• Familiarity with RIS, PACS, and HIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in invasive and non-invasive procedures using sterile technique.
• Review physician prescriptions, consents and contrast questionnaires before exams.
• QC exams in RISynergy to ensure accurate historical report data.
• Set appropriate technical factors to obtain high-quality images while protecting patients and staff from unnecessary radiation.
• Maintain knowledge of radiographic policies, equipment, and PACS/RIS/HIS operations.
• Explain examination processes to patients to support education and comfort.
• Promote positive patient relations and ensure a caring environment.
• Transfer and position patients with care and proper body mechanics.
• Identify patients using the hospital double identification policy.
• Respond to back-up calls within 30 minutes.
