Job summary

Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City, IL is seeking an Imaging Technologist II to perform a wide range of imaging exams including x-ray, MRI, CT, mammography, and ultrasound on a 24/7 schedule.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT registered with an IEMA license and hold an advanced ARRT certification or RDMS; strong PACS skills, ALARA compliance, and patient privacy focus are essential. Willingness to work irregular hours and cross-train is expected.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered technologist with IEMA license and a relevant advanced ARRT certification or an RDMS credential.
• Active ARRT/Mammography/CT/MRI or RDMS certification required.
• Capability to operate x-ray, MR, mammography and ultrasound equipment and to maintain PACS records.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency on imaging equipment and perform a variety of exams.
• Adhere to ALARA and radiation safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and adapt to age-specific needs.
• Maintain exam paperwork, PACS entries, and departmental documentation.
• Assist in quality assurance and keep licensure current.
• Be willing to cross-train and take call or odd hours as needed.
