Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months experience in the primary imaging modality
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
  • Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations: ARRT, ARDMS, RVT-VT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT
  • Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable
  • Registry in a second modality must be completed within 18 months of hire or transfer date
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree (preferred)
  • Three to six months experience in the secondary imaging modality
Job Summary:

The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two medical imaging modalities. Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested. Meets all qualification requirements for certified modalities and works at least 40% of the time in the second modality. Flex shifts and support across different UTMB campuses may be required.
