Job description

Shared Imaging is currently looking to hire an Imaging Technologist Aide in a PRN capacity. Coverage areas are: Newark, Jersey City, Holmdel, Lakewood, NJ.

Work Schedule:
  • Coverage needs are as needed, Monday through Friday, occassional Saturday
  • Start time is 7-7:30am
  • 8 hours/week
  • Sites needing coverage (single site coverage or open to any of the following sites):
    • Newark - Beth Israel Medical Center
    • Jersey City - Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
    • Holmdel - Bayshore Community Hospital
    • Lakewood - Monmouth Medical Center, South Campus

The ideal candidate must possess:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR/BLS Certification (via American Heart Association) required
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Anatomy and physiology understanding preferred
  • Patient care experience strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
  • Hard working, detail-oriented, and committed to outstanding patient care
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Greeting and directing patients
  • Confirming and registering patients
  • Verifying all necessary information is available for the test
  • Assist in setting up MRI or PET/CT scanning rooms
  • Stocking and maintaining patient dressing rooms, scan rooms and control areas
  • Ordering supplies
  • Other responsibilities as directed

The hourly range for this role is $23.00 - $25.00/hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for a performance-based merit increase annually. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
