Job summary

Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA seeks an Imaging Tech to perform advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across imaging modalities under departmental leadership. You will operate complex imaging equipment, follow protocols, and monitor patients to ensure safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Formal radiological technology training completed.
  • Associate of Arts in Radiological Technology or
  • Bachelor of Science in Radiological Technology.
  • Minimum 1 year hospital radiology department experience.
  • CA Radiographer license.
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech license (CA).
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Fire Safety training within 90 days.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT).

Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment and execute imaging protocols.
  • Monitor patients to ensure safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Uphold Dignity Health’s visions and values in daily work.
  • Act as Senior in supervisor's absence.
  • Manage routine daily operation of General Radiology area.
  • Assist with employee scheduling, daily work assignments, and productivity standards including call/standby schedules.
  • Support departmental orientation in General Radiology.
  • Engage in daily departmental Quality Control and Process Improvement.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.

Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.

  • Responsible for upholding Dignity Health's visions, values and guiding principles. Responsible for maintaining positive morale levels in areas supervised. Communicates in a positive and effective manner with customers and staff.
  • Will function as Senior in his/her absence.
  • Responsible for the routine daily operation of the General Radiology area assigned to.
  • Responsible in assisting the employee schedule, daily work assignments, and productivity standards. This also includes assisting and participating in the call and standby schedule when applicable.
  • Responsible for assisting departmental orientation in General Radiology.
  • Active participation in daily departmental Quality Control and Process Improvement program.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training
  • Associate Of Arts Radiological Technology or
  • Bachelors Of Science Radiological Technology
  • Must have minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital and radiology department
  • Medical Radiographer: CA
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
