Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Exeter Hospital is seeking a Transportation Aide to move patients to and from the radiology department and support exam flow. You will assist technologists, review patient information, and help maintain efficient room turnover in a patient-centered environment.

The role emphasizes strong customer service and communication; related healthcare study is preferred. This is a full-time, day-shift position with on-site work in Exeter, NH.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years directly related experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Preferred: enrolled in a healthcare related program (e.g., CNA, medical assistant).

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting patients to, from, and within the Radiology department.
• Review and collect patient information for exams.
• Support patient transfer including lateral transfers to/from stretchers.
• Prepare Radiology rooms by cleaning, stocking, and setting up for exams.
• Communicate via phone, paging, and secure messaging.
• Deliver imaging contrast and labs to appropriate locations.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, is responsible for the movement of patients to and from the imaging department. Responsible for assisting the technologists with flow of the department, to include review of medical records, room turnaround, delivering contrast to the ED/IP units and more.
