Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a DIIS Administrator to coordinate and operate the PACS/RIS/VR systems within our Diagnostic Imaging department at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. You will oversee day-to-day DIIS operations, maintain interfaces, and ensure system reliability.

Responsibilities include user training, data management, report development, and implementing system upgrades to meet clinical and hospital needs. This role supports providers and staff in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Qualifications

• Level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of baccalaureate degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in PACS/RIS administration in a diagnostic imaging department including experience with hardware and software interfaces to maintain operations.
• Experience in a data management role to include application utilization, data analysis, report generation and troubleshooting.
• Analytical ability to locate, research and resolve errors and problems.
• Organizational skills to gather, assemble and maintain data from a wide variety of sources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site DIIS activities and ensure day-to-day operation of PACS, Image Sharing Platform, RIS and VR.
• Monitor daily performance of DIIS systems for optimum utilization of automated systems.
• Provide user orientation and training on system functions and procedures.
• Develop and maintain DIIS data, codes and reports to meet user needs.
• Participate in policy and procedure development related to Radiology Information Systems.
• Grant and maintain appropriate user privileges within DIIS systems.
