Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital is seeking a Clinical Tech Assistant for Mammography on-site in Durham, PRN as needed. The role involves assisting with patient transport, preparing imaging rooms, and supporting radiology staff in imaging procedures.

Responsibilities include patient movement, room setup, and ensuring patient comfort while maintaining safety protocols. On-site duties may include record-keeping and responding to patient needs throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, or prior experience in customer service or healthcare.
• Work requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Completion of patient transport safety training program within 30 days of hire.
• BLS
• Ability to perform the heavy lifting required in the movement of patients and the transport of patients in either wheelchair, stretchers or beds.

Responsibilities

• Move patients to and from radiographic tables and set up imaging rooms.
• Transport non-oxygen and oxygen patients to and from hospital locations.
• Assist technologists with imaging procedures and positioning patients.
• Prepare imaging rooms and equipment; set up sterile trays and instruments.
• Provide patient care and respond to requests with courtesy and accuracy.
• Compile and maintain patient and departmental records; monitor patient status in Radiology.
