Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Radiology Technology Assistant to support imaging procedures. You will work under the Modality Technologist, providing room prep, patient flow, and image handling within the designated modality.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient comfort, maintaining a clean imaging suite, and adhering to safety and HIPAA policies while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR Certification required.
• Strong customer service experience preferred.
• Able to follow safety policies and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare radiology rooms and ensure required supplies are available.
• Assist with patient flow and positioning for examinations.
• Transport patients using beds or wheelchairs and provide comfort.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control; report equipment needs.
• Copy and transfer images into PACS with knowledge of imaging modality.
• Adhere to HIPAA and communicate professionally with patients.
