Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant on a Per Diem/Variable shift. The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and related exam information into the EMS.

This role requires clerical, telephonic and customer service skills, plus familiarity with medical terminology. You will collaborate with multiple departments and providers to support efficient imaging

Qualifications

Basic medical terminology course or completed within 6 months of hire.
1 year Clerical or Customer Service experience.
Association/degree in medical field is preferred.
Providence Internship completion is preferred.
Coursework/Training in medical terminology and anatomy is a plus.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist and direct patients while retrieving, organizing, and inputting digital images and exam information into the EMS.
Manage applicable software and interact with multiple departments, office staff, physicians and patients.
Utilize clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills to support imaging workflows.
