Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Support Representative at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. The role involves maintaining, assembling, and dispensing radiologic records and supporting radiologists in Diagnostic Imaging workflows.

It requires coordinating patient flow, inventory, and interdepartmental communication to ensure timely, safe patient care. The position is full-time with night shifts, on-site, and involves direct support to Reading Rooms and imaging staff.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated proficiency in computers
• Two to three years’ related work experience
• Post-secondary education (preferred)
• 1 year healthcare experience (preferred)
• 1 year customer service experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics of the department including scheduling of patient flow and supply inventory.
• Work within and monitor multiple computer applications ensuring that patient care is timely and safe.
• Receive, direct, and expedite communication between providers, clinical areas, and customers.
• Identify barriers to patient care and resolve issues within Support Services.
• Direct downtime activities for providers with leaders.
• Manage the distribution of images.
• Ensure Reading Rooms needs are met across the enterprise.
• Receive visitors to the Reading Room.
• Coordinate patient care with providers.
• Deliver customer service to providers, patients and organization.
• Prepare and facilitate conferences.
