Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist in Radiology Support. The role focuses on PACS-related clerical tasks and assisting radiology workflows, ensuring timely image processing and patient assistance.

Responsibilities include QA, monitoring PACS, preparing films, and coordinating image transfers. The position is full-time, about 32 hours per week, with rotating shifts including Sundays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Computer skills required; previous hospital experience preferred.
• Shift: Full Time ~32 hours per week.
• Shift Hours: rotating shifts M-F and Sundays, including days/afternoons.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties: processing requisitions, scanning and editing PACS, digitizing films, and handling images for patient/physician use.
• Monitor PACS database, merge/delete images, locate priors for radiologists.
• Prepare outgoing/incoming films, check in patients, assist with forms and gown changes.
• Process and distribute radiology reports, answer phones, locate prior imaging for dictation, stock supplies.
• Check in and process patients for radiology exams.

What you will do:

• Performs clerical duties such as processing requisitions, scanning documents into PACS (picture archiving and communication system) editing information in PACS, digitizing films into PACS, pushing images from 3rd party systems into PACS system, creating, exporting and importing of images on CD and DVD for patient and physician use, resolving QA issues in PACS.
• Monitoring PACS database, merging and deleting images as necessary, locating and providing priors for radiologists.
• Preparing out-going and incoming films, Checking in patients and Assisting patients with filling out forms and changing into gowns.
• Processing and distribution of radiology reports, answering phones, locating prior imaging for dictation or future procedures, and stocking of supplies.
• Check in and process patients for their radiology exams.
