Job summary

Orlando Health Imaging Institute is seeking an Imaging Assistant I for the West Region. The position is PRN with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, in Orthopedics. Location listed as 14547 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL.

You will observe and assist in imaging areas within Orlando Health. Primary responsibilities include patient transport, safety checks, supply management, and equipment handling while following regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance.
• Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety.
• Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
• Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
• Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly.
