Job summary

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Tampa is seeking an Imaging Assistant I (PRN) to observe and assist in Imaging areas while supporting department operations. The role is based at the Orthopedics location with Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm scheduling and requires a High School diploma and BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

The position supports transporting patients, stocking supplies, and utilizing radiology systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.
• Experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Transports bed, stretcher and wheelchair patients safely, following HIPAA and handoff procedures.
• Uses two identifiers on every patient per Joint Commission regulations.
• Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
• Delivers requisitions, specimens, and materials within the facility.
• Stocks and cleans rooms; returns supplies to storage.
• Reports faulty equipment or hazards to supervisor for follow-up.
• Cleans, disinfects equipment; maintains transport equipment.
• Maintains O2/suction supplies as required.
• Operates Corporate Radiology computer systems accurately.
• Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed.
• Follows mission, policies and attendance expectations.
• Meets education requirements for the role.
