Sentara is hiring an Imaging Services Navigator in South Boston, Virginia. This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits.
The Imaging Services Navigator coordinates activities and collects information required for several imaging quality monitors, services and procedures. Maintains National Data Registries. Provides care management services to clinical and technical team members and serves as a liaison and resource between all disciplines to include physicians, patients, caregivers and other departments.
The navigator works closely with patients, providers and other health care professionals to provide support around specialized radiology procedures and breast imaging follow-up procedures. Assists with department quality assurance measures. Assists radiologist with screening patients having invasive procedures. Assists with teleradiography functions as requested and/or specialized imaging procedures.
Markets with community and physician practices to keep them up to date on imaging capabilities and changes. Assists with scheduling of specialized imaging procedures and post care for patient.
