White Memorial Hospital is seeking a dependable PRN Imaging Services Assistant to support the Radiology team on an as-needed basis. You will assist staff by safely transporting patients and preparing imaging rooms before and after procedures.

Shifts include day, evening, or weekend coverage as needed, with no holiday shifts required. The role emphasizes flexibility, patient care, and teamwork in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of experience in hospital/medical setting preferred.
• Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• May require Basic Life Support certification (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Transport and transfer patients to imaging exams.
• Prepare imaging rooms and sanitize before and after procedures.
• Assist with patient prep and positioning on imaging equipment.
• Handle clerical tasks: scheduling, registration, patient screening, and charting.
• Maintain inventory and support leadership as needed.

In this role, you will assist clinical staff by safely transporting patients to and from radiology, preparing and sanitizing imaging rooms before and after procedures, and helping position patients on imaging equipment. We are looking for a flexible team player ready to pick up day, evening, or weekend coverage as shifts become available due to staff absences. No holiday shifts required!

Job Description:

Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams. Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory. Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency. All other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Medical Terminology, preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or medical environment, preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferred.
• May require Basic Life Support certification.
