Job summary

Arcfield seeks a highly capable imaging systems engineer to support NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office. You will verify and validate software and hardware releases, collaborate with development engineers and vendors, and help ensure mission readiness through rigorous testing and analysis.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with Poly, a STEM degree, hands-on experience with IQEs, MATLAB, and image sensors.

Qualifications

Must possess TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
BS 2-4 years or MS 0-2 in Imaging Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM field.
Working knowledge of Image Quality Equations (IQEs) to include creation and application.
Basic understanding of simulation and modeling techniques or the image creation process.
Working knowledge of imagery systems including PAN, IR, and RADAR.
Working knowledge of MATLAB and mathematics/equations/functions.
Basic knowledge of sensor types including airborne, space-borne, and FMV.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Proficient in oral and written communication.
Able to develop and use complex concepts and perform root cause analysis to craft technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office (TAC), the primary integration testing and QA org.
Assist with independent verification and validation of software and hardware, and information system releases prior to operations.
Apply technical standards and theories to solve problems of moderate scope.
Source, qualify components used in the company’s technology.
Evaluate supplier changes and maintain qualification records as needed.
Develop guidelines for vendor selection and cost-conscious improvements.
