The Imaging Sales Specialist, Core is responsible for providing technical sales support for advanced widefield microscopy products, playing a key role in the broader sales team. The focus is on selling to the life science research community, collaborating with the Leica sales team in all commercial activities.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Northeast, and is part of the Life Science Research Division, working remotely to cover the Greater Boston Biotech and Biopharma market.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide consultative sales support of products, applications, and software to customers and the Key Account Manager.
• Identify selling opportunities across product lines, focusing on lead generation in widefield portfolios. Collaborate with Key Account Managers in team-selling efforts.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by partnering effectively with Sales Managers, Customer Service, Engineers, and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Manage your sales pipeline from opportunity creation to closing, utilizing Salesforce and visual management tools.
• Work with customers and experts to generate field data and application notes highlighting product benefits.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Familiarity with biological imaging applications; experience with fluorescence, confocal microscopy, and optics is highly valued.
• At least 2 years in a research, quality-control, or production environment applying microscopy and digital imaging techniques.
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of specific areas such as biotech incubators or pre-clinical R&D.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel within a small geography and overnight for training/meetings.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 25 lbs.

Preferred experience:

• Previous sales experience with microscopy products.
• Teaching or training experience related to imaging equipment and techniques.
