Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced RN for the East Orlando campus on a PRN Day shift. Join a team dedicated to the holistic healing ministry and patient-centered care.

Eligible clinicians can advance through our Clinical Ladder with potential salary increases up to 20% based on experience and achievement. The role requires RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and at least 1+ year in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS required
• 1+ year in acute care hospital setting (ED or PCU) preferred
• Fluent in English (read, verbal, and written)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments safely following orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.

Job Description

Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Schedule: PRN agreement with 2 shift Per week availability with some of those shifts being weekend shifts also rotating holidays and hurricane teams - flexibility is required.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting (ED or PCU).

Pay Range

$31.85 - $52.76
