Job summary

Rome Health in New York is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Imaging Department. The role focuses on delivering compassionate patient care within Radiology, coordinating procedures and supporting physicians.

The ideal candidate holds NY RN license, has acute care experience, and preferably Radiology nursing. BS in Nursing preferred; we value patient advocacy and adherence to nursing process and departmental protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BS in Nursing preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in New York State.
• One-year work experience in acute care hospital desirable. Experience in Radiology nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, directing and coordinating patient care and procedures in the Radiology environment in an efficient, empathetic and timely manner appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Serving as a patient advocate and health teacher. Accurately carries out the medical regime as prescribed by the physician and according to departmental protocols.
• Demonstrating the ability to perform nursing functions utilizing the Nursing Process, Rome Health and Medical Imaging protocols, and appropriate regulations within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act.
