Baylor College of Medicine seeks a full-time Imaging Research Technician to support CAMRI's research imaging operations in the Texas Medical Center. The role focuses on safe MRI sessions, patient comfort, and preparing the scanner environment for research studies.
Beyond imaging, the technician will assist with computing support, QA of imaging and computing systems, and exposure to advanced scientific computing approaches including AI applications in neuroscience.

Salary Range: $63,052 to $74,178
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is recognized as one of the nation's premier academic health science centers and is known for excellence in education and research. The Core for Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CAMRI) at BCM seeks a full-time Imaging Research Technician to support research imaging operations. This position centers on participant-facing responsibilities, including training to operate MRI scanners for research studies, ensuring patient and equipment safety, and managing the setup and execution of imaging sessions.
In addition to imaging operations, the specialist will contribute to computing and data support that underpins CAMRI's work. This includes quality assurance of imaging and computing systems, participation in research data workflows, and training/exposure to development of cutting-edge approaches in scientific computing, including applications of generative AI in neuroscience. The role emphasizes applied technical skills that help maintain smooth operations in a research environment.
The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated, be able to follow instructions, and independently complete duties.
This position is located at the BCM Smith Medical Research Building in the Texas Medical Center.
