CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Remote Sensing Software Engineer to develop advanced SDA and remote sensing pipelines, guide technical direction, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams building high-fidelity space observation analytics.

You will architect end-to-end processing systems, implement ML-based anomaly detection, and design multi-sensor fusion using Bayesian/ML methods. This onsite Dayton, OH role emphasizes Python/C++ development and scalable computing solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of experience in remote sensing, image/signal processing, or GEOINT data exploitation.
• Experience with satellite characterization or SDA workflows.
• Experience with Python or other OO languages (C++/JavaScript).
• Understanding of software development best practices, HPC/cloud computing, containerization, and AGILE.
• Experience with ML systems for imagery processing and object classification.
• Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field.
• U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end remote sensing processing pipelines for EO/IR missions.
• Develop radiometric/spectral models and imaging algorithms.
• Implement ML-based anomaly detection and object classification in imagery.
• Design multi-sensor fusion pipelines using Bayesian/ML methods.
• Conduct trajectory estimation and 3D kinematic modeling.
• Build scalable computing solutions using Python, C++, CUDA, HPC or cloud platforms.
