Job summary

Medasource is seeking an Ultrasound Technician in Lafayette, Indiana to operate ultrasound equipment, obtain diagnostic images, and prepare patients for examinations.

You will ensure patient comfort, clearly explain procedures, document findings, and maintain calibration, safety, and cleanliness of the imaging room.

This role requires strong teamwork with physicians and radiologists, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Job Description

An Ultrasound Technician, or Sonographer, is responsible for using ultrasound equipment to help visualize internal anatomy functions. Their duties include calibrating and manipulating ultrasound equipment to conduct appointments, taking pictures or videos of potential abnormalities, and discreetly notifying medical personnel if they identify something concerning.

• Basic computer skills
• Sterile procedure
• Provides correct patient identification, technique, education, instruction, and transportation, as necessary

• Operates all imaging and Doppler/duplex equipment with proper technique
• Meets all computer and documentation competencies
