Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH is seeking a Radiographer to produce high-quality radiographic images following NCH, ARRT, and Florida DOH guidelines. The role requires independent work, patient education, and adherence to safety standards within the Radiology department in Naples, FL.

The position supports per diem staffing in the Radiology unit, performing routine and specialized imaging procedures while maintaining equipment and following JCAHO guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Formal Radiologic Technology Program completed in an approved school.
• Registered ARRT R (Radiography).
• Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from ARC or AHA.
• Basic computer knowledge: operate PC, create/save/print documents, input data.

Responsibilities

• Produces images demonstrating thorough radiographic technique (collimation, ID markers, patient demographics) and proper anatomical positioning.
• Work independently to perform high-quality diagnostic procedures with minimal exposure to self, staff, visitors, and patients.
• Conducts routine and specialized diagnostic and fluoroscopy procedures using digital radiography equipment.
• Performs examinations efficiently with a repeat rate consistent with department standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of film critique sufficient to repeat films when indicated without direction.
• Demonstrates proper radiation safety and general practices for patients, self, and others.
• Exhibits caring, excellence, leadership, pride, teamwork, integrity, and center-wide service standards.
• Provides patient care according to established standards; competent in procedures appropriate to patients' ages.
• Obtains and interprets information to align imaging with patient needs and treatment range.
• Educates patients about imaging procedures.
• Demonstrates competency using PACS, Powershare, Epic, and other systems.
• Ensures proper maintenance of x-ray equipment and schedules service as required.
• Follows department guidelines per JCAHO regulations.
• Maintains radiographic equipment; reports service issues and troubleshoots problems.
• Maintains good eye-hand coordination during radiology procedures.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care according to hospital needs.
• Engages in continuous personal and professional growth and education in imaging technology and procedures.
• Assists in training new hires and students to ensure staff competency.
• Provides care for patients with a positive and professional culture.
• Verifies patient identification before exams and ensures order accuracy.
