Job summary

RR Donnelley (RRD) is seeking a skilled print operator for two shifts in the United States. You will operate high‑resolution digital/inkjet presses, program and prepare print jobs, log production data, and ensure quality across all outputs.

Daily tasks include setting up equipment, adjusting color and image alignment, and coordinating supplies to maintain smooth production flow. The role requires advanced knowledge of digital print systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of digital print and/or inkjet imaging equipment setup, adjustment, and operation.
• Ability to diagnose and correct operating problems affecting quality and timeliness.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and ability to adjust color to meet customer specifications.
• Excellent knowledge of file manipulation and file formats for digital print.
• Experience setting up feed rollers, tensioning, timing and inline finishing per job specs.

Responsibilities

• Operate high resolution, variable print proprietary imaging equipment
• Program and prepare jobs for printing
• Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests
• Setup, program and release jobs from print queue
• Adjust image position Color quality and resolution, perforations and folds on paper, etc.
• Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality
• Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets and rollers, paper, tabs, and other items as needed
• Maintain inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of digital print and/or inkjet imaging equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures, and a corresponding level of skill to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment
• Able to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment, and in addition, diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function
• Requires advanced knowledge of color theory and ability to make adjustments and color corrections when operating the equipment to produce the imaging to customer specifications
• Excellent knowledge of file manipulation and file formats for digital print
• Excellent knowledge and ability to set up feed rollers, tensioning, timing and in-line finishing per job specifications
• May instruct junior level operators how to complete the required corrective adjustment
• Typically, corrective adjustments performed require the operator to consider the symptom(s), possible causes and remedies
• Other duties as requested
• Train, communicate with other employees

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $26.25 to $34.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of $X,XXX], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
