Job Summary

This is an exciting new leadership opportunity! The Imaging Manager will support the clinical and business operations oversight for Sugar Land Outpatient Imaging Center, Breast Center, and Sienna Convenient Care Center.

Position is responsible for supervising and managing daily operations, as well as hiring and training new personnel, scheduling workflow, and ensuring that all policies and procedures are properly applied and followed.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Radiologic Technology, and/or Radiation Therapy.
  • Licenses/Certification:
    • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
    • Other required licenses and certifications depend on the modality/specialty of the incumbent:
  • Radiology Technologist: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; Registered Radiology Technologist by the ARRT-R, required.
  • Computed Tomography (CT): Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; Registered CT Technologist by the ARRT-CT, required.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; Registered MRI Technologist by the ARRT-MR, required.
  • Nuclear Medicine: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; either ARRT-N or NMTCB certification.
  • Mammography: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; Registered Mammography Technologist by the ARRT-R, required.
  • Ultrasound: One of the following required: ARRT-VS, RVT, RVS, RCS, RCCS, or RDCS certification.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Supervises, manages, and schedules daily activities.
  • Performs quality control procedures, gathers data for QA program, and implements necessary changes.
  • Assists with policy development; recommends changes in departmental methods and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provides input into departmental planning, including budget management.
  • Trains and evaluates staff on equipment and procedures.
  • Ensures safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
  • Promotes professional growth and development of staff; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource.
  • Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
