Position Summary

The Imaging Manager is to oversee the daily operations, clinical workflows, and staff management within the imaging department. The Imaging Manager needs to be licensed in 1 or more modalities (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, or X-Ray) and has 1+ years of being a lead or supervisor experience. The Imaging Manager will ensure high-quality patient care, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster a productive, safe, and efficient clinical environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly supervises imaging technologists and support staff across all assigned modalities, including responsibility for hiring, onboarding, coaching, payroll, and performance management.
  • Holds day-to-day responsibility for imaging department access, throughput, and patient experience, ensuring alignment with organizational operational and financial goals.
  • Owns key operational and financial metrics for the imaging department, including exam volume, schedule utilization, no-show/cancellation rates, and technologist productivity.
  • Collaborates with front office and scheduling teams to optimize appointment templates, reduce access bottlenecks, and improve referral conversion rates.
  • Leads the imaging quality program, including protocol standardization, image quality audits, peer review feedback loops, and corrective action plans.
  • Manage relationships with imaging equipment, PACS/RIS, and service vendors, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements and timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with all state, federal, and industry regulatory bodies (e.g., ACR, FDA, Joint Commission, OSHA).
  • Coordinate routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs for modality equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Address and resolve patient or provider complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to PACS/RIS archiving standards.
  • Works with Revenue cycle team to identify and correct coding concerns, decreasing claim holds and denials.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources employee discipline, performance evaluations for assigned personnel and recommend employee job transfers and promotions
  • Assists with reinforcing office policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Education/Experience

3 to 5 years bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or lead technologist role preferred. Active ARRT, ARDMS certification, or FL CRT license.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position in an outpatient medical business office setting. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm. Based on business needs, the ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends.
