Job summary

Southeastern Cardiology Associates is seeking a licensed practical nurse to support the Nuclear Medicine Department in Columbus, GA. The LPN will assist with daily testing procedures, IV starts, EKGs, patient positioning, and accurate data entry into INVIA and eClinicalWorks, while coordinating with Front Office and other departments to optimize patient flow.

The ideal candidate has cardiac knowledge, strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to work independently, maintaining BLS

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Georgia required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for testing and start IVs.
• Place 12-lead EKG for procedures as needed.
• Assist patients on and off the camera and position them for tests.
• Input demographics into INVIA and eClinicalWorks.
• Maintain supplies in testing areas and assist with chart prep.
• Coordinate with Front Office to ensure timely patient flow.
• Deliver care per the patient care plan and policies.
• Maintain effective communication with other departments and adapt to changing situations.
• Maintain BLS and complete tasks independently.
