American Family Care (AFC) Aurora Saddle Rock is seeking a Radiologic Imaging Specialist to perform diagnostic imaging and supervise X-Ray staff. The role requires ensuring proper technique, patient communication, and adherence to ALARA standards.

The position involves training staff, maintaining equipment, and potential cross-training in medical assisting and reception. ARRT certification or board eligibility is preferred, with state licensure required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred. Licensed per state regulation.
• In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train all x-ray staff.
• Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner.
• Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment; stock supplies.
• Process images and prepare for reading by physician as well as radiologist overreads.
• Utilize imaging equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Cross-train in medical assisting and reception as appropriate.
