Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, ensuring patient safety and high-quality results. You will operate imaging equipment, prepare patients, and manage records in PACS while maintaining safety standards.

You will lead when needed, assist in training, schedule exams, monitor equipment, and support QA initiatives, all within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with clinical hours.
• ARRT Radiography and BLS certifications.
• State licensure may be required depending on practice state.

Responsibilities

• Lead when leadership is unavailable and act as expert resource.
• Assist in orientation, training, and professional development.
• Operate imaging equipment and capture high-quality images.
• Prepare, position, and explain procedures to patients; provide radiation protection.
• Administer contrast under physician direction and policies.
• Manage and update images and records in PACS.
• Monitor equipment and perform routine cleaning/maintenance.
• Schedule radiology examinations and manage supplies.
• Assist with QA initiatives and clinical rotations; perform clerical duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
