Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate records in PACS. The role requires proficiency with imaging equipment, clear communication with patients and staff, and adherence to safety standards.

Graduate with ARRT radiography certification and BLS, with 1 year of experience or a relevant bachelor degree. State licensure may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with required clinical hours.
• 1 year of relevant experience or graduate of Bachelor degree program.
• State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• ARRT-Radiography certification and BLS.
• Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates advanced imaging equipment and captures high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepares, positions, and transfers patients and explains procedures.
• Monitors equipment and ensures radiation safety.
• Submits requests for equipment needs and maintains accurate patient records in PACS.
• Schedules radiology examinations and handles related clerical tasks.
• Assists with QA initiatives and clinical rotations as applicable.
