Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a diagnostic radiologic technologist to perform X-ray procedures under supervision. You will identify patients, review orders, and explain the procedure while performing studies.

Responsibilities include documenting requisitions, ensuring image quality and proper orientation, and maintaining patient safety. The role supports McLaren’s radiology services on-site with variable daily hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of two-year accredited radiology training.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies each patient and reviews requisitions for consistency with diagnosis and orders.
• Prepares patient for examination and explains procedure while performing studies.
• Records pertinent data on radiologic requisitions (tech initials, reason for limited exam, patient concerns).
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and ensures proper anatomical orientation and film identification.
• Uses devices to obtain permanent records and ensures patient safety with restraints/support devices.
• Consults with staff technologist when needed.
