Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Imaging Technician focused on maintaining and servicing CT scanners, MRI machines, X‑Ray, and ultrasound systems. The role ensures reliable operation to support patient care within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have experience in medical equipment maintenance, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and follow vendor guidelines. Local Portland, OR area; federal clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing CT scanners, MRI machines, X‑Rays, and ultrasound machines.
• Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry standards and ISO.
• Familiarity with test equipment setup and application.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.
• Minimum of three years hospital or healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Must obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance.
• Flu vaccination proof or valid exemption documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of imaging equipment (CT, MRI, X‑Ray, ultrasound).
• Inspect, calibrate, and validate equipment per manufacturers’ guidelines and standards.
• Identify and rectify issues and collaborate with manufacturers’ support for complex problems.
• Maintain detailed service records and compliance documentation.
