UPMC Jameson in New Castle, PA is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to join the Imaging Team. This Flex, Full-time role features variable shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, with no on-call or travel required.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for a 2-year commitment, plus a loan repayment program of up to $9,000 for eligible regular full-time grads. Final offers reflect education, experience, and manager discretion.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients using two identifiers and universal protocol; reviews history and orders; documents history in EMR.
• Administers PO and rectal contrast per orders/policy.
• Ensures exams are coded and networked to RIS/ISITE; enters charges for exams.
• Performs diagnostic radiography using established protocols with minimal supervision.
• Operates imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and document image data.
• Communicates clearly with patients; works as a team to expedite care.
• Demonstrates independent judgement to adjust protocols and apply ionizing radiation appropriately.
• Explains procedures to patients to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
