Job summary

UPMC Jameson in New Castle, PA is hiring a Diagnostic Technologist to join the Imaging Team. This Flex, Full-time position offers variable shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and no on-call or travel requirements.

Ideal candidates will deliver excellent customer service while performing imaging procedures, processing exams in RIS, and coordinating with the department to ensure accurate data and timely results. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify patients with two identifiers and follow universal protocol when performing procedures.
• Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders/department policy.
• Ensures all exams within area are properly coded and linked to RIS and ISITE; charges entered.
• Performs diagnostic radiography procedures per protocol without constant supervision.
• Operates imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and document image data as required.
• Communicates clearly with patients and coworkers, showing care, dignity and respect.
• Adjust protocols with independent judgement as needed for diagnostic radiography.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce fear and improve cooperation.
