Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Imaging Center Assistant to support imaging procedures, transport patients, and monitor patients during imaging sessions. The role involves assisting radiology staff, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining proper documentation and patient flow.

The position requires AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals and a high school diploma; one year of patient care experience is preferred. Weekend as-needed shifts and variable hours are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals is REQUIRED.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent is PREFERRED; 1 year of patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process radiographic film using safelight technique.
• Print images and duplicates of films and/or digital images.
• Display images on alternators for radiologist interpretation with correct orientation.
• Scan appropriate patient documents into Synapse with correct patient ID.
• Assist imaging procedures and transport patients to/from Imaging Center rooms.
• Communicate patient status with nursing and Imaging staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain safety and proper handling of patient equipment during procedures.
• Perform general clerical duties and support film library tasks.
