Job summary

Mercy Imaging Services is seeking an Imaging Assistant to provide direct patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include stocking, equipment cleaning, and assisting with imaging tasks while maintaining Mercy standards and excellent communication with the team.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a current BLS certification (or complete within 30 days of hire); physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk during shifts, and

• Current BLS certification or one completed within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Imaging Services as needed.
• Maintain supplies, stocking, and equipment cleaning.
• Perform related duties in alignment with Mercy standards.
• Communicate effectively and adapt to stressful situations.

Position Details

Licensure: None.

Experience: None.

Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire.

Other: This individual must be capable of: lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to stressful situations; communicating effectively.

Equipment Used: This individual should be proficient in the basic use of computers.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
