Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician or Designee. YOU will interview patients, measure vital signs, record information in the medical record, prepare rooms, and manage supplies in a fast-paced clinical setting in California.

Six months of experience or completion of Kaiser externship is preferred. Basic Life Support and completion of appropriate Medical Assistant coursework per the Medical Board

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a course of study consistent with Medical Board of California requirements for Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs as required by department.
• Record information in patients' medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination.
• Inventory, order, and replenish medical supplies and materials.
• Schedule appointments and complete forms as required by the department.
• Record lab values and other treatment documentation as required.
