Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Software Engineer - Image Formation / Reconstruction to develop high-performance software and numerical algorithms for Molecular Imaging.

You will collaborate with software engineers, scientists and researchers to translate research concepts into robust production software, primarily using C++ in Visual Studio, supporting image reconstruction and data correction methods in an Agile/SAFe setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of software development experience preferred in product software or similar.
• Strong C++ development experience.
• Experience with Visual Studio or equivalent environments.
• Solid foundation in mathematics and physics for algorithm development.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe, iterative development, or TDD.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture and interfaces for a scalable image formation platform.
• Collaborate with researchers to implement data correction and image formation methods.
• Design and optimize high-performance numerical algorithms.
• Develop production-quality C++ software in Visual Studio.
• Translate research concepts into reliable software implementations.
• Create automated testing strategies and frameworks for quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and lifecycle activities.
• Work in an Agile/SAFe environment with cross-functional teams.
