Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Software Engineer – Image Formation / Reconstruction in the United States. You will contribute to high-performance software and numerical algorithms for Molecular Imaging, collaborating with software engineers, physicists, and researchers to translate research concepts into production-ready code.

Responsibilities include architecture design, automated testing, performance optimization, and working within an Agile/SAFe environment across international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline such as CS/SE/CE or related field.
• 2+ years of software development experience, preferably in product software or similar complex environment.
• Strong C++ design and development experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or similar environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with math/physics background.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe, iterative development or TDD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software teams to define architecture, interfaces and design for a scalable image formation platform.
• Partner with researchers and physicists on data correction, image formation and data analysis methods.
• Design, document, implement and optimize high-performance numerical algorithms.
• Develop production-quality C++ software in Visual Studio and related environments.
• Translate mathematical and physics concepts into reliable software implementations.
• Design and implement automated testing strategies and frameworks.
• Develop automated test execution, validation, reporting and troubleshooting.
• Analyze software and system behavior to identify defects and performance improvements.
• Support diagnosis and resolution of complex software and system issues in Molecular Imaging tech.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, testing, documentation and lifecycle activities.
• Work in an Agile/SAFe environment with cross-functional international teams.
