DRÄXLMAIER in Duncan, SC, is seeking an IM - Resin Tech - B Shift to support the injection molding department by delivering resin and colorants to machines.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate PIT's to deliver necessary materials to the injection molding department.
• Correctly stage and transport materials with labels affixed correctly.
• Communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding problems with material flow, shortages, safety or quality concerns.
• Determine part and material availability and report shortages.
• Receive, sort, and distribute goods/materials and book them in and out according to instructions.
• Ensure injection molding machines are ready by pre-staging material to the floor and driers per SMED.
• Complete TPM duties as assigned for drying and loading equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
• Perform PIT inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order and follow safety guidelines.
• Monitor driers/loaders and color mixers/blenders to ensure proper operation and press uptime.
• Prepare work areas to ensure materials needed are available and equipment is in proper working order.
• Support quality technicians and process technicians in identifying root causes by providing required information.
• Be cooperative with co-workers to maintain a good working environment.

Objective of Job:

To provide support to the injection molding department by pre-staging and delivering the proper quantities and types of resin and colorants ("materials") to each of the injection molding machines.

• Safely operate PIT's in order to deliver necessary materials to the injection molding department.
• Correctly stage and transport materials with labels affixed correctly.
• Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding problems with the material flow, absence of parts, and safety/quality concerns.
• Determine part and material availability and report shortages.
• Receive, sort, and distribute goods/materials and book them in and out according to instructions, if necessary.
• Ensure the injection molding machines are ready to operate by pre-staging material to the injection molding floor and driers in keeping with SMED principles.
• Complete TPM duties as assigned for drying and loading equipment.
• Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
• Performs PIT inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order and follows all safety guidelines for the work area.
• Monitors driers/loaders and color mixers/blenders to ensure proper operation and ensure press up time related to materials.
• Prepare work areas to ensure materials needed are available and equipment is in proper working order.
• Support the quality technicians and process technicians in the identification of root cause by giving them the required information.
• Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment
