Our Health and Science System Specialists team leads in patient care settings within hospitals, health systems, and medical groups to add value to our customers and patients.

The Health and Science System Specialist (HSSS) launches new products, manages business relationships, understands formulary access, and promotes products within assigned accounts. This role involves sales efforts and relationship development with customers, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and KOLs.

The HSSS should have market, business, and customer insight, strong product and disease knowledge, excellent sales and strategic skills, and expertise in virtual and in-person customer engagement. Proficiency in digital tools and remote work coordination is essential.

The role targets two key customer groups: Health Systems and their affiliates, and scaled medical groups and institutions, including hospitals and medical centers.

Responsibilities include gaining access, educating clinicians and decision-makers, gathering market insights, managing relationships, understanding formulary access, and promoting products within these accounts.

Sales duties encompass relationship building with physicians, KOLs, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers, demonstrating clinical knowledge and sales skills, understanding payer dynamics, and coordinating with internal teams to meet Pfizer’s objectives.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and adapt effective virtual and in-person engagement strategies, build rapport with KOLs and customers, utilize digital tools, and leverage analytics for insights. Engage customers to grow business, provide targeted education, and support patient access through Pfizer programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, use digital apps, and manage customer priorities effectively. Drive sales within assigned health systems and accounts, and contribute insights to improve strategies.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 3 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales/marketing, or equivalent experience with an associate’s or high school diploma plus additional years of experience.
  • Proven success in marketing, sales, territory management, and team leadership.
  • Residence within 25 miles of the territory border.
  • Valid US driver’s license and compliant driving record.

  • Ability to develop comprehensive plans and drive performance.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel within the territory, including overnight stays as needed.

Job Details

Application deadline: May 20th, 2025.
Salary range: $101,500 - $245,400 plus incentives.
