Daifuku, a leading U.S.-based material handling systems provider, is hiring a full-time welder for the 1st shift in Hobart, CA. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts with a tape measure, and performing high-heat welding to form permanent bonds.

You will operate welding equipment, plan work from blueprints, and select appropriate welding positions and materials while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, welding certificate/associate preferred.
• 3–5 years welding experience required.
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification required.

Responsabilités

• Operate welding machine and feed wire to form permanent bonds.
• Interpret blueprints and plan welding work.
• Determine welding position and metal to be fused.
• Set up welding equipment and select materials.
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
• Planning work by interpreting blueprints
• Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
• Selecting and setting up welding equipment
• Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in welding
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Team orientation
• Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
• Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

ADA Requirements:

• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
