Responsibilities

Position Summary

Picking sales orders by accurately identifying and pulling materials and delivering them to the requested destination.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Picking parts of various sizes, shapes, and weights according to sales orders.
• Placing parts carefully in kits to avoid damage.
• Delivering part orders to the packaging area.
• Meeting expectations for the number and accuracy of sales orders picked.
• Using material handling equipment such as forklifts, stand-up forklifts, or Big Joe, following all safety rules.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Reading and maintaining information in the inventory system to ensure accurate records.
• Complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
• Driving continuous improvement to provide industry-leading performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment is a plus.
• Experience with inventory management is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good computer skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Team-oriented attitude.

ADA Requirements

• Medium work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are involved.

Visual Acuity

• Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, inspection, and operation of machinery.
• Visual acuity needed for operating motor vehicles and assessing work accuracy.

Job Conditions

• Inside environment with protection from weather but not temperature extremes.
