Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Illumio Systems Engineer to design and implement secure, segmented networks for DoD missions. You will apply Illumio Core/Endpoint knowledge, Zero Trust principles, and network policy to protect mission-critical applications in cloud and hybrid environments.

Applicants should have 2+ years with Illumio, strong routing/switching fundamentals, and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Illumio Core or Illumio Endpoint in a production environment.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and micro segmentation strategies.
• Experience with cloud environments and hybrid IT infrastructures.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls with layer 3 and 4 security policies.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and ACLs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification within 30 days of start date.

As a network security engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, TCP/IP ports and protocols, and network traffic flow to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll troubleshoot, design, and deploy network security policy to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical networked applications.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with Illumio Core or Illumio Endpoint in a production environment
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and micro segmentation strategies
• Experience with cloud environments and hybrid IT infrastructures
• Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls with layer 3 and 4 security policies
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and ACLs
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification such as CEH, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification within 30 days of start date
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification within 30 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience integrating Illumio with SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management platforms
• Experience with container security and Kubernetes micro segmentation
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks
• Illumio Certified Professional Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
