Job summary

HV Health and Safety is seeking EMTs who are willing to travel 100% to Primghar, IA, supporting emergency medical care and on-site health services in rural locations. You will perform patient assessments, administer care, and maintain documentation while adhering to safety standards and quality care expectations.

Ideal candidates are certified EMTs who adapt quickly, stay calm under pressure, and work well in teams or independently on remote assignments.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 50-60 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work consecutive 5-6 12 hour shifts.
  • 8 week/1 week rotation - work 8 weeks and rotate home for 1 week.
  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and on-site emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Administer emergency medical care, including respiratory, trauma, and cardiac interventions, and conduct patient assessments.
  • Perform record-keeping, filing, and data entry as required, excluding treatment-related records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Provide information on medical treatments and procedures, promoting a culture of health and safety.
  • Monitor worker health and manage preventative care on-site.
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain readiness for on-site incidents.

**We are seeking EMTs who are available to travel to our location in Primghar, IA. This position requires 100% travel.**

  • Perform record-keeping, filing, and data entry as required, excluding treatment-related records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Provide information on medical treatments and procedures, promoting a culture of health and safety.
  • Measure vital signs and collect specimens
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided.
  • Monitor worker health and manage preventative care on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain readiness for on-site incidents.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work 50-60 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work consecutive 5-6 12 hour shifts
  • Must be able to work 8 week/1 week rotation - work 8 weeks and rotate home for 1 week
  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to climb without difficulty.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in small spaces.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and taste/smell while performing job duties.
  • Must have a favorable driving record for the past 5 years.
  • Must pass detailed Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.
  • Ability to work independently in remote or isolated locations.
  • Must have strong team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific safety procedures (ex: construction).
Skills and Experience
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
    Skilled in administering emergency care (CPR, trauma management, etc.).
  • Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, local/state regulations).
  • Proficient in medical record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with workers and management.
  • Physical stamina to lift, assist, and manage patients.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under stress.
  • Experience as an Basic Life Support (BLS) provider
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate or equivalent
  • Valid and active Driver's License
  • IA EMT License preferred
  • NREMT required without IA license
