Everstory Partners seeks a dedicated Funeral Director/Embalmer to coordinate funeral arrangements and provide compassionate support for grieving families at Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Collinsville, IL.

The role requires licensed or eligible licensure, 1 year as a funeral director and 2 years of post-secondary education, and familiarity with embalming procedures, permits, and cross-functional collaboration. Availability for holidays and weekends is expected.

Qualificações

• Licensed funeral director and embalmer or ability to obtain license
• 1 year of experience as a licensed funeral director and 2 years of post-secondary education
• Graduated from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science
• Concentration and attention for extended periods
• Valid state driver’s license
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to interact and collaborate in a team
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends

Responsabilidades

• Meeting with clients to arrange funerals, explain options, assist in contracts and pricing
• Performing embalming services
• Finalizing arrangement details with proper documentation
• Directing funeral services and visitation, coordinating pallbearers and clergy
• Preparing permits and death certificates and related documents
• Transferring deceased from home or hospital to funeral home
• Maintaining cleanliness of preparation room and equipment
• Carrying out other related duties as assigned
