Qualifications

Responsibilities

Aqua Knight Plumbing, a family-owned plumbing company with 20+ years serving the Chicagoland area, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Plumbing Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be the face of Aqua Knight in customers' homes — diagnosing issues, presenting repair options, and delivering the kind of dependable, professional service that's built our reputation. Success in this role means happy customers, strong reviews, and repeat business, while growing your own earnings. This position reports to our service manager and works alongside our dispatch and customer service team to keep the board full and jobs running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform repairs, replacements, and installations for residential customers (water heaters, sump pumps, drain lines, fixtures, and general plumbing systems)
• Present customers with clear, itemized repair and replacement options (good/better/best) and explain pricing before work begins
• Complete accurate job documentation and notes for every job
• Operate and maintain the company-provided vehicle and stocked inventory needed for same-day service
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and teammates throughout each job
• Follow all safety codes, licensing regulations, and company procedures on every job site
• Participate in on-call/emergency rotation as scheduled

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently, manage time across multiple jobs per day, and represent the company professionally
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in tight spaces (crawlspaces, basements, attics)
