Job summary

Kinder Morgan Inc. is seeking a technical expert to support the execution and continuous improvement of the Kinder Morgan Assessment Protocol (KMAP) for identifying and classifying iili indications in ILI data.

You will review ILI signals, develop defensible anomaly classifications, and collaborate with engineers, service providers, and field personnel to improve classification accuracy and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience reviewing and interpreting ILI signal data to identify and classify anomalies.
• Experience evaluating service provider classifications and technical basis for threats.
• ILI-PQ Level II qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of pipeline integrity threats and ILI/NDE technologies.
• Experience with run-to-run comparisons, anomaly growth evaluations, or similar analyses.
• Familiarity with PHMSA 49 CFR Parts 192/195 requirements.
• Working knowledge of API 1163 and ILI performance validation principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related tools.
• Strong technical writing skills to document evidence, uncertainties, conclusions.
• Attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review of ILI signal data to identify and classify indications per KMAP.
• Develop clear, technically defensible documentation of signal reviews and conclusions.
• Review historical ILI data and validation results to support anomaly characterization.
• Evaluate KMAP outcomes to identify trends and improve procedures.
• Identify emerging signal patterns warranting further evaluation.
• Conduct corrosion growth analyses and data trending as applicable.
• Participate in technical peer reviews to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Support development and improvement of KMAP procedures and guidance.
• Communicate conclusions and recommendations through technical reports and summaries.
• Collaborate with engineers, service providers, and field personnel to resolve complex classifications.
• Support training and knowledge-sharing on ILI interpretation and KMAP methodologies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
