Job summary

Deaconess Illinois is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, prepare and position patients, and support physicians with imaging findings to inform patient care.

This role requires ARRT or ARDMS certification, current AHA BLS, a degree in Medical Imaging, and licensure where applicable; you will work with advanced ultrasound equipment, maintain accurate records, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited Medical Imaging Program required.
  • ARRT or ARDMS certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist in the state of practice, where applicable

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using specialized imaging equipment.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity.
  • Capture high-quality images of organs, tissues, blood vessels, and other anatomical structures.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure studies meet diagnostic standards.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures and address questions or concerns.
  • Assist physicians by providing diagnostic imaging information that supports patient care decisions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.

What You'll Do:

Qualifications:

Education-

  • Degree from an accredited Medical Imaging Program required.

Licensure & Certifications-

  • ARRT or ARDMS certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist in the state of practice, where applicable

Compensation:

Hourly Range - $32.00-$48.00
